B: Those training courses that you asked me to attend proved effective.
A: I'm glad to hear that. There is one more thing; I wouldn't want anyone to find out that their bonus wasn't as many as yours. Bonuses are based on work results(工作绩效).

(1) spend ...on sth.在……上花费(时间、金钱等)/spend... (in) doing sth.花费(时间金钱等)做某事。
(2) make profit/profits 赚钱，获得盈利。profit在表示“利润”，既可作为可数名词，也可作为不可数名词。所以对话中用了much修饰profit.
