雅思9分写作范文篇一:

It is right that college graduates earn higher salaries than the lesswell-educated in the community. But they should also pay the full cost of theirstudy. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Some conclude that college students should bear Idontknowl expenses fortheir higher learning on the generalization that college graduates usuallyreceive higher salaries for similar jobs than those without a college degree. Wecan not deny that higher level of education, indeed, do associate with betterincome. Still, build on such fact alone, the conclusion remains questionablewhen more aspects are taken into consideration.

The whole argument in question rests on an assumption that it is always thecase that people with higher education make more money than those lesswell-educated. But salary or income is, in most cases, based on contributionsmade by employees to companies or organizations in which they are employed.Statistics in the labor market indicate that people with professional trainingtend to find jobs easier than college graduates do and that blue-collar workerswho do not hold college degrees are becoming the hotties in the labor market.Employers prefer to hire and pay more to highly skilled and specially trainedpeople rather than fresh college graduates. In the auto industry, for instance, skilled technicians make two or three times more than their college educatedcounterparts who make the average salaries in other companies.

雅思9分写作范文篇二:

Anyone who has visited a dentist has been told that eating excessive amounts of sweets risks harming the teeth. This is because sweets lower pH levels in the mouth to dangerous levels.

When the pH level in the mouth is kept above 5.5, acidity is such that teeth are unlikely to be in danger of decay. Sweet foods, however, cause pH in the mouth to drop for a time, and the longer pH levels remain below 5.5, the greater the opportunity for decay to occur.

By comparing fruit sugar, cane sugar and honey, which are all common ingredients of sweet foods, we find that cane sugar lowers pH levels for the longest period, thus producing the greatest risk of the three. Approximately five minutes aftfter consuming cane sugar, pH levels drop to as little as pH 3.5. They then begin to rise slowly, but do not rise above pH 5.5 until at least 30 minutes have elapsed. By contrast, fruit sugar, which causes the mouth's acidity to fall to just above pH 4, poses a danger for a shorter period: tooth decay is unlikely 20 minutes after consumption. Honey appears an even less risky substance. Though acidity falls to about pH 4.75 within five minutes of consumption, it returns to above pH 5.5 in under fifteen minutes.

The implications, then, are that people who insist on eating sweet foods should be aware of the ingredients, and that fruit sugar or honey appear preferable to cane sugar.

雅思9分写作范文三:

With the rapid increase in the number of vehicles on the road together with hush and rush lifestyles of drivers today, traffic accidents seem to be escalating in our society. Age of drivers contribute partly to number of traffic accidents but surely not as the main factor.

Those who agree with the statement would view young drivers assuming under 18 years old and older drivers to be reckless and therefore would be more prone to traffic accidents on the road. Lack of experience, forgetfulness, carelessness and poor fitness condition may be reasons for limiting age of drivers.

On the other hand, I would think that age is only a small determinant and we need to look at more effective measure such as reducing number of vehicles on the road through car pool, implementing more stringent regulations on alcohol drink driving and possibly to revise on the standard of driving test for young and old drivers on the road. Many drivers who are stuck in traffic jams also have busy lifestyles and therefore tend to become very stressed or distracted on the road. Thus I would think the government may have to look ways to improve road infrastructure and traffic jams to deter or reduce accidents on the road.

To sum up, age is only one of the many contributors for accidents but I do not agree that by lowering age for the elderly and raising age limit for the younger drivers is the best method. As mentioned in my third paragraph, we need to look at other more effective measures which deal with the underlying problems in the society which lead to traffic accidents.
