雅思口语仰望天空范文:

Describe a time when you were looking at the sky.

You should say:

when and where you looked at the sky

who you looked at sky with

how you felt when looking at it

and explain why you looked at the sky.

I don’t often take much notice of the sky, unless it’s a particularly lovely day and the weather is beautiful, with a clear blue sky. I live in a big city, so during the day the sky is usually grey due to pollution caused by cars and factories, and at the night it is glowing because of light pollution, so you can see the moon but hardly any stars.

The one time of the year I make a special effort to look up at the sky is Mid-Autumn Festival. Mid-Autumn Festival occurs during the 15th of August in the Chinese lunar calendar, when there is a bright full moon. I can’t always make it back to my hometown, but last year I was lucky enough to have time.

My family live in the country, so the night sky is very clear and you can see a spectacular array of stars and sometimes even the Milky Way. After eating a big meal, I stood outside with my mother, father and sister and looked at the moon while we all ate moon cakes. As I looked up, I thought about my family and the sacrifices they have made to give me a good education and a good start in life, as well as how magnificent the stars looked.

Whenever the festival comes, people tend to look up at the full silver moon and drink wine as a way to celebrate their happy life and to extend their best wishes to their relatives and friends far from home.

雅思口语Part2范文:去过并喜欢的花园

Topic:Describe a garden you visited and liked.

You should say:

where it is

how it looks like

and explain why you often go there

参考范文:

This isn’t an easy question for me because I’m not really that into gardens and I’m not sure how to describe all the plants and flowers.

The garden I’ll tell you about is the Botanical Garden at Oxford. I used to go there from time to time when I was a student. It’s not quite in the city centre but is a fairly short walk away and easy enough to get to on foot from the High Street. It’s quite close to the river and one of the more famous bridges.

It’s a fairly large place and has different sections to it. As I remember there are paths that lead to these different sections. There is for instance an area with glasshouses where there are some less common species – at least in the UK – plants that normally grow in tropical climates. Then I also remember that there was special aromatic garden there where there were plants that had particular scents. I think it was originally made for blind people who couldn’t enjoy the colours of the plants.

It’s quite an active place and because it’s free lots of people just walk in and wander around. You do get garden specialists who go there to look at certain plants, but there are just as many people who just go there to sit on one of the benches and eat their sandwiches or have a coffee during their lunch break.

Why do I remember it? Well I spent 4 years in Oxford and it was one of those places that I used to visit more often. I haven’t been to many other gardens since.

雅思口语Part2范文:运用想象力

Task:Describe a time you needed to use imagination.运用想象力

You should say:

What was the situation.

Why you needed to use imagination.

Explain how you felt when you were using imagination.

示范答案:

During my childhood, roleplaying games are the staple for us kids to kill dull time such as the long summer holiday afternoons. It is a game of fun and importantly of imagination.

We roared around on our horses (sticks) shooting each other with rifles and handguns (sticks) and dying in agony, only to get up again a few moments later to resume the fighting. Sometimes we would be horribly wounded and the game would morph into Nurses and Doctors with much bandaging and splinting (sticks), injections (sticks), thermometers under tongues (sticks) (... in retrospect I am delighted that we had no idea there was any other way to take temperatures!)

I have no idea if there was any plan or strategy to our games but they were always outdoors, often involved co-opting our willing pets as playmates (we lived in the country and didn't always have enough victims for our shoot-outs). The dogs, we found, quickly learned they were supposed to "die" when shot, the cats however, were hopeless for that. We had to send them off as "carrier pigeons" with notes attached for reinforcements.

We had court cases and put our cowardly teddy-bears on trial for desertion and hanged them, afterwards having lovely ceremonial funerals, complete with flowers and everyone (including the pets) dressed up in mourning clothes.

Oh it was all such fun. all the characters, the roles we saw on TV, in movies and in cartoons, all the heroes, the villains were impersonated by us. We were just normal kids but it was like we had relived so many and colourful magnificent lives

A century ago now, it seems. I can't wait for my second childhood to begin!

雅思口语Part2范文:好消息

Topic:

Describe a piece of good news that you received

You should say:

what this news was

when and where you heard it

how you heard it

and explain why you think it was good news

sample answer:

After I finished my graduation, I applied for 2-3 jobs and faced the interviews in these companies. One day I got a phone call from one of the companies from the HR department and the caller confirmed that I was hired for the job I applied for. This was a very exciting and good news for me as I was expecting to start a job so eagerly.

I did not know the person who called me at that time but later I found that he was the head of the human resources department of the company and his name was Kane. I heard it in (…say a year i.g. 2004…) and it was probably June.

My parents and relatives wanted me to get involved in a job right after my graduation and I felt the same. Some of my classmates were already doing jobs and I thought I should start a job as well. After I got the job confirmation call, I was very excited and happy. The first job confirmation in my opinion is very significant and exhilarating and I felt no less. I was so happy that I instantly confirmed that I’d be joining the job from the next week. Then I shared the news with my parents and sisters and they were very happy as we.
