雅思专业介绍范文:

1.What is your major?

I major in Business Administration. And I find business is a fascinating world to explore. I am studying hard and hopefully one day I'll become a successful businessman.

2.Do you like your major and why?

Yes, of course. I like my major primarily because I am very much into computer science. Since young I've always been fascinated by the stories of future technology, robots and super-computers. Secondly, IT is a huge market with wide profit margins. It has created a new generation of billionaires. It is promising major that is bound to bring me a good career in the future. That is precisely why I like my major.

Not really. Actually I didn't choose this major for myself. My parents chose it for me. In addition, I find all the subjects I have to study for this major very boring. I don't think I can learn much from them.

3.What subject do you find most useful?

There is a wide range of courses I study. Some are compulsory while others are optional. The two major compulsory courses are College English, including intensive reading, extensive reading, speaking etc., and College Math, including calculus, probability and statistics and so on. In addition, I also have chosen to study Art History and Psychology, which can all enrich my understanding of human mind itself and the great works of human mind.

4.What is your favorite course/subject?

My favorite course/subject is XXX, because, number one, it is very interesting. Number two, it is not very difficult to study. Number three, it is also very useful.

5.What is the most useful subject/course?

I think English is most useful subject. Because today communication plays such an important role is people's lives, especially when the world is becoming a global village, where English is the primary spoken language. And thus good training in spoken English gives a person a competitive edge and more opportunities than those who can't speak it. It is really a hard question. Though I don't think all subjects are useful, yet I do think most of them can be useful in different ways and in different times of life. Nonetheless, I think communication skills are essential for one's social and academic life; since English has become the lingua franca in global communication, I would say English, as far as I'm concerned, is the most useful subject.

雅思大作文范文:学习什么科目

Today, teenagers in school nowadays have to study a wide range of subjects. Some people think the teenagers should learn all the school subjects, other think that the teenagers should concentrate in the subjects they are best at or they are interested in. Discuss both views and give your own points.现在,青少年如今在学校必须学习范围广泛的学科。一些人认为青年人应该学习所有的科目,另一些人认为青少年应该集中学习他们擅长的,或者他们有兴趣的。请讨论双方观点并给出你自己的观点。

Nowadays, students are required to have a wide range of knowledge in order to seek a satisfied job or a higher degree. However, some still thinks that the quantity of subjects affect the quality of learning. They believe that it is better for the students to concentrate on several core modules. From my perspective, school is the place to provide students with general knowledge and to foster them a good habit of learning, so it is necessary to conduct the multi-disciplinary exploration.

The traditional view argues that students only need to focus on some major subjects, including English, math, P.E., etc. These subjects, to their understanding, are enough to foster the fundamental capabilities. Through learning the language, the teenagers can have better communication skills; through learning the math, the teenagers can have a clearer logic in thinking; through learning the P.E., the teenagers can build up their health. Apart from these, the other subjects may not contribute much. Instead, it is possible to distract the students from learning the core modules.

On the contrary, the opposite side has a wider consideration. They believe that it is the time for the teenagers to expand their vision at school. As a matter of fact, school is the place at which students spend most of their time and they acquire most of their education. So for them, a wider range of subjects provides them more opportunities. On the one hand, they are directly installed with more specialized knowledge. On the other, they may find their interests and foster their personal habits.

In summary, the limited amount of subjects contributes to a more concentrated type of learning experience and a higher ability in certain skills, while the multi-subjects exposure is beneficial for the teenagers' personal hobbies and long-term development.

雅思写作考官范文:大学生该学什么

题目:Some people think that all university students should study whatever they like. Others believe that they should only be allowed to study subjects that will be useful in the future, such as those related to science and technology. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

范文:

People have different views about how much choice students should have with regard to what they can study at university. While some argue that it would be better for students to be forced into certain key subject areas, I believe that everyone should be able to study the course of their choice.

There are various reasons why people believe that universities should only offer subjects that will be useful in the future. They may assert that university courses like medicine, engineering and information technology are more likely to be beneficial than certain art degrees. From a personal perspective, it can be argued that these courses provide more job opportunities, career progression, better salaries, and therefore an improved quality of life for students who take them. On the societal level, by forcing people to choose particular university subjects, governments can ensure that any knowledge and skill gaps in the economy are covered. Finally, a focus on technology in higher education could lead to new inventions, economic growth, and greater future prosperity.

In spite of these arguments, I believe that university students should be free to choose their preferred areas of study. In my opinion, society will benefit more if our students are passionate about what they are learning. Besides, nobody can really predict which areas of knowledge will be most useful to society in the future, and it may be that employers begin to value creative thinking skills above practical or technical skills. If this were the case, perhaps we would need more students of art, history and philosophy than of science or technology.

In conclusion, although it might seem sensible for universities to focus only on the most useful subjects, I personally prefer the current system in which people have the right to study whatever they like.
