During my summer vacation to Shanghai,I jointed the grand opening celebration for Shanghai Disney Resort and also visited some famous landmarks in Pudong district. Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower , the earliest landmark in Shanghai,is located in the financial area of Lujiazui, on the edge of Pudong District.

Oriental Pearl Radio & TV tower was the highest building in China until 2007 and it is a magnificent piece of art work because no building in history could be such aesthetical appealing.Tower has a unique shape, with a number of spheres punctuating the tower's various sections. In its spheres, there are 360 degree sightseeing spot areas, the revolving restaurant, space module, hotel bedrooms and even a small museum. Standing and facing the opposite of the time-honored and western-styled architectural complex lined along the Bund, this Tower is considered as the best sightseeing spot in Shanghai. The entire scene is a photographic jewel that excites the imagination and attracts thousands of visitors every year.

Everyone in China was talking about the Oriental Pearl Tower after it was completed in 1994.My parents showed me its pictures on the newspaper, which suddenly became the place I would like to visit most in Shanghai.

I'm going to describe a modern building in Manchester. It's called the Beetham Tower, and it's the tallest building in the city, with about 50 floors.

Although it's called the Beetham Tower, most people know this building as the Hilton Hotel. In fact, the bottom half of the tower is the hotel and the top half is apartments. The apartments are expensive because the location and views make them very desirable.

I'm not sure if I like the design of the building, it's just a huge glass tower, but it definitely stands out. It has become a famous landmark in the city. You can see it as you approach Manchester, and it's an easy place to meet people because it's so distinctive and easy to find. The most interesting thing about the Beetham Tower is that there is a bar/restaurant on the 23rd floor which has spectacular views of the city; it's definitely the best vantage point in Manchester because there are no walls, only huge windows, so you can look out over the city in any direction. I'd recommend anyone who visits Manchester to go there and experience the view.

雅思口语关于建筑范文篇三:一座建筑

The central Bank building is the one that really impressed me. I was then almost 17 years old when I first this building and I still remember that I became amazed watching and wondering about it.

10-15 stories building are quite common in our town but the 75 storied central bank building is really different. Not only it is higher than most other buildings but it also possesses a eye-catchy architectural design which is bound to absorb any one's attention. From far it will only give you the impression of a futuristic mega structure but if you observe the building from nearby, you will see the real beauty of it.

It looks like every inch of it has been drawn before building it. This building is a fine piece of architect that prominently announces its presence. When I looked at the top of this building I got the impression that it is endless and has made its way over the sky. The long round clock in from of this building, ticks twice to let the city dwellers know its presence.

This central bank building is situated near the national museum of the city. From far away it looks like a pathway to sky and from nearby it seems like a massive yet beautifully designed architectural building.

雅思口语关于建筑范文篇四:历史建筑

Describe a historical building in your country.

You should say:

where it is

when and who you went with

what it is like

and explain why you think you wanted to visit it.

I don’t think you can talk about historical buildings in China without mentioning one of the most recognizable buildings in the world, the Great Wall. It is located in the north of China, with some parts close to the capital, Beijing.

I visited it with my parents and siblings during a summer vacation a few years ago. Unfortunately this is peak season as the weather is glorious and people like to travel during this period, so it was jam-packed. The Great Wall is one of China’s premier tourist attractions and as such is a major draw.

The Wall itself was fantastic. As it is an ancient structure, parts of it are ruined due to the effects of time, but other parts have been reconstructed for tourists in order for them to see how it would have looked, as well as making it safe to climb. When you look out across the hills and mountains, it seems to go on forever, as far as the eyes can see.

I wanted to visit the Great Wall as it is an iconic building in China, no trip to Beijing is complete without a jaunt out to the Wall. As far as I’m concerned it has a timeless quality and I could spend all day walking up and down it. It was voted one of the Seven New Wonders of the World and people say it is visible from space, although this is actually a misconception.
