  雅思九分作文范文

I partly agree that children should be grouped and taught according to their intelligence levels and my reasons are the following.

First of all, this practice can make it easier for teachers to make teaching plans and organize classes. If students' intelligences are almost equal to one another's, it will be more convenient for the teachers to plan their teaching contents. Teachers will not worry too much about what they teach is beyond those children with lower intelligence.

The second merit of this practice is that the competition will be hotter in the class if children with similar level of intelligence study in the same classroom. Peer pressure forces the boys and girls to study hard to catch up with other children in the class. As a result, children's potentials are developed to a larger extent in a competitive atmosphere.

However, we can hardly ignore the drawbacks of grouping the clever children together while sorting out those not-that-smart kids. The biggest difficulty we have, I suppose, is that this idea can't be easily put into practice as we first need to decide on the scientific criteria on which we can do the grouping. As far as I know, up till now, we haven't found a widely accepted standard to measure the intelligence level and thus, this idea will inevitably bring disputes among children, parents and education system.

On top of that, it will also do harm to the psychological health of those children whose intelligence level is labeled as low by the intelligence evaluating system, if there is one. Those children are liable to doubt about their own aptitude and lose confidence in their potential. It's needless to say that it will do harm to their mental and physical development.

Grouping children according to their intelligence sounds not bad theoretically. Nonetheless, taking into account the drawbacks mentioned above, we should handle the matter with caution.
