Ignoring the lessons derived from our previousfrustrations is a serious problem both to the individuals andto the society. Similarly, unable to drawlessons from the past, the society is bound to get intobigger trouble. It is known. for example, that about adecade ago Beijing was subjected to an unprecedented sandstorm resulting from the excessive deforestation in thewestern part of China. But recently some people are stillcutting trees blindly just to make money without takingaccount of the environment. If they continue to do so, theywill encounter more destructive environmental problems.
Personally. I think it is high time that we attached moreimportance to the past lessons so as to avoid taking aroundabout route in the process of development.

就个人而言，我认为是我们该更加重视过去教训的时候了。只有这样，才能避免在发展过程中走弯路。
