1. What can you tell me about yourself?
这个问题并不是要你介绍你的简历，老师是希望你能通过一件小事，了解你的处理方式，从而看出你的性格、优势，与哪位老师比较匹配等。

英语口语常问话题(一)
第一个经常问得话题是考研原因。通常我们可以从以下三个方面来回答。
1) 兴趣，即强调对所报考的专业怀有极大的兴趣(have significant interest in…)。如果本科就读的专业与报考的专业一致，则可以说明想继续深造(further education)的愿望。如果不一致，则要说明报考专业对你的吸引力(…appealsto/attracts me a lot);
2) 优势，即强调研究生相对于本科生在知识、学术方面的优势，如：知识面更广(wider knowledge)，学术更专业(more professional)，眼界更广阔等(broaden one’s horizon);
3) 益处，即强调考研对你的未来的积极影响(havea positive effect on…)，可以从求职、职业规划、人生经历等方面入手进行说明。可参考的词汇、短语如下：be helpful, contribute to, be beneficial to, be conductive to, be adefinite advantage, become a strong point when it comes to…等等。
此外，对于那些在职考生或有工作经验的考生来说，考官更倾向于提问他们为什么(放弃工作而)重新学习。考生可以直言在工作发现某些知识或技能很重要，希望能通过学习在这些方面进行提高(In my work, I found … is rather important. I always believe that one will easily lagbehind unless he keeps on learning. So I choose to go back to school andimprove myself。)。
英语口语常问话题(二)
考官有时会询问考生对未来的一些规划，其目的在于试探考生是否对时间、学习、人生有一定计划性和掌控能力。
1) 学习规划。关于这一话题，考官通常会以一种较婉转的方式提问，如：What do you expect to achieve during your study if you are enrolledinto this university? 回答这一类的问题时，不仅仅要回答想学到什么样的知识、成为什么样的人，最好能够稍微说说你会/计划怎样学习(即学习方法)。无论是倾向于学术理论性的还是侧重于实验研究性的，都要把握一个原则：理论联系实际，同时主次分明。
2) 职业生涯规划。职业生涯规划其实就是明确自己未来的职业方向，虽然考官不常对此提问(基本上也是提问考生对所报考专业的就业前景持何种态度)，但是这个话题实际上涉及了一个人对自己的性格、天赋、兴趣、能力以及社会现状进行综合分析的能力，还同时也可以看出他对自己未来人生的一种期望、信念和热情，因此考生也可对此稍做准备，甚至可以将其放在自我介绍中(不建议口语不太理想的考生这样做)。
需要注意的是，职业生涯规划一定要根据自己的实际情况加以定夺，尤其要注意与所报考专业的契合度。
英语口语常问问题(三)
自我介绍。要求简洁、有新意，能够让考官记住你。最重要的是，发音要准，不要太快，以别人听懂为目的。但注意一定要听考官的指示语，听到考官说：Can you introduce yourself briefly/ say something about yourself后再开始。其实现在许多口语考试为了避免考生背诵准备好的自我介绍，都去除了这个部分，而是由一些简单问题来代替，如：

【考研复试中的英语常见问题】
1.复试中英语的考查形式?
英语考试形式主要分为笔试、听力、口试3种形式。
各院校具体形式还需看院校官网发布的复试通知，也可以提前找本专业学姐学长了解往年考查形式参考。了解本专业复试英语如何考，是否有即兴话题，有没有听力、笔试等环节。
2.复试中口试难度及时长?
口试一般不会严格卡时长，看现场情况大约在20分钟以内。考试形式问答为主，也有部分学校会给定题目，考生自行讨论表达观点，问题不会太难。
越是好的学校问题难度越高，一般院校都是四六级水平，英语专业的考试难度相对会高。
3.怎么准备复试英语考试?
a.每天抽时间精读一篇文章，听一段VOA标准英语或者BBC新闻播报。
b.多收集你所报考专业和日常口语所需的英语词汇，储备好词汇量。
c.准备英语常考话题，比如自我介绍、介绍家乡、介绍本科大学、为什么选择报考我们学校、为什么选择这个专业、研究生期间规划等等。
d.看英美剧和电影时别依赖字幕，脑海中自己尝试翻译。
4.因为紧张没听懂问题怎么办?
口语不好的同学提前准备一些常见问题答案以及问题里涉及到的词汇要清楚，以防听不懂问题也要抓住关键词回答。没听清可以礼貌询问考官可否再问一遍，明白问什么才能正确回答问题。
万一中途出错，也不要sorry或者说不好意思我重来一遍。语音语调能够调整是最好的，如果来不及，那么就尽量做到流利自然。
5.如何准备英语口语?
对口语的考查，各个学校各不相同。有的学校制定了非常详细的标准和流程，甚至规定了每个老师发问的方式和时间;有的只是面试老师的自由发挥，成绩也基本上由面试老师主观判定。
不管面试是否严格控制，考生对下面几个问题一定要认真准备：一是自我介绍，如自己来自什么地方，毕业学校，所学专业，业余喜好，家庭基本情况等信息;二是做好用英语讲解自己专业的准备。
口语测试时老师有可能要求你就本专业展开话题，考查你用英语讲解陌生概念的能力。
因此考生对此要有所准备，先用笔头组织这些问题的要点，然后再以这些词组织语言。在阅读专业文献时，也要多积累一些专业方面的英语词汇。当然提问的问题不可能难度太高。
6.复试英语口语的评价标准是什么?
1)语言准确性(语法和用词的准确性、语法结构的复杂性、词汇的丰富程度、发 音的准确性)
2)话语的长短和连贯性(内容的连贯性、寻找合适词语而造成的停顿频率及长短、 表达思想的语言长短等)
3)语言的灵活性和适合性(语言表达是否灵活、自然，话语是否得体，语言能否 与语境、动能和目的相适应)
7.复试英语口语测试包括哪几个部分?
第一部分：考查学生理解并回答有关日常生活、家庭、工作、学习等问题的能力(3--5 分钟)。
第二部分：考查学生连续表达的能力。考生从所给的问题中选择一个话题，就此话题表达自己的看法(7--10 分钟)。
第三部分：部分院校复试中会加入专业英语的内容。
8.复试英语口语如何评价成绩?
1)优秀--能用外语就指定的话题进行口头交流，基本没有困难
2)良好--能用外语就指定的题材进行口头交流，虽有些困难，但不影响交流
3)及格--能用外语就指定的话题进行简单的口头交流
4)不及格--不具有口头表达能力
9.在英语面试中我怕老师问问题，所以我的英文自我介绍就多一点，行吗?
不管多么长，老师还是会问你问题，如果你自我介绍说得长，回答问题时候你却回答得很少或者回答不上来，那你损失可就大了。
因为很多学校是即问即答的方式，考生可以在准备复试的自我介绍的时候，尝试拓展下自己的问题;自己设定问题，自己尝试回答!
10.回答考官问题
此处不再赘述，但有一点要注意，千万不要只回答“YES”或“NO”，而是要加上 你的 reason 或者是 example.
11.结束
考官明确说出：This is the end of the test, thank you。说明考试正式结束。站起来， 拿好自己的东西，如准考证，与考官说再见：Thank you, goodbye. 或 Thank you for your interview goodbye. 然后离开。注意考试结束后不要问老师关于得分的问题， 应该马上礼貌的离开。
12.英语复会有笔试吗?
主要看目标院校的复试大纲，有些学校为了加大对学生的考察和择优录取的原则在复试当中加入了英语笔试。
