　　这两道题无非是让考生讨论竞争给社会带来的好处与弊端.考生只要把一个问题考虑清楚就可以了。再如下面这四道题:

　　"History teaches us only one thing:knowing about the past cannot help people to makeimportant decisions today."

　　"The study of history has value only to the extent that It is relevant to our daily lives.""So much Is new and complex today that looking back for en understanding of the pastprovides little guidance for living in the present.""The chief benefit of the study of history is to break down the illusion that people in oneperiod of time are significantly different from people who lived at any other time in history."这四道题都是要考生讨沦‘“研究历史的价值”。这些题目本质上是一致的.考生完全可以用一篇文章来应对这一类题目。我们再来看看下面这三道题有什么特点:

　　"One can best understand the most important characteristics of a society by studying Itsmajor cities."

　　"The beat way to understand the character of a society is to examine the character of themen and women that the society chooses as Its heroes or its heroines.

　　"The moat effective way to understand contemporary culture is to analyze the trends of itsyouth.

　　稍加分析，我们就可以发现这三道题目所体现的逻辑思路是完全一样的.即个体可以用来说明整体。了解了这一点，考生就可以用相同的论证方法和技巧来完成这兰道题.

　　经过归类总结.考生会发现244道Issue题可以缩减到一半.甚至更少。为了帮助考生完成限缩题库的任务.

　　考生可以按照这些分类进行复习，逐类突破。 应当指出，即使考生通过归类把244道Issue题合并成100道左右。
