使用简单词汇

在写作中，有的同学习惯使用一些例如 ugly as sin, pretty as a picture之类的词汇。在这里，小山菌建议大家不要使用这类词汇。因为在使用这些词汇的时候，会给读者一种陈词滥调、平淡无味的感觉，更有可能使读者误会你本身的意思。

避免使用俚语

SAT的写作，要求的是一篇有专业性的写作，而不是一篇日记或随笔，所以俚语不应该在SAT的考试中出现。就好像是高考作文中，考生把“我要去…”写成“俺要去…”加有地方方言的语言方式。

写作的时候，尽量的使用简单易懂的词汇语句，可以使读者更清楚的明白你的立场和你文章的目的。要记住，SAT写作不是考察你的生词量，而是在考察你是否能将你的想法通过文字的方式传递给读者。

合并短句，截断长句

合并短句可以让你的文章更连贯，读者阅读的时候思路也会更清晰。

例1：The glee club held a fund-raiser, the basketball team also held a fundraiser.

Improved sentences ：The glee club and the basketball team held fundraisers (compound subject)。

一、语法的问题

写作中虽然考察的是考生的输出能力，逻辑思维能力，但是在评分的时候影响你分数的还不止是这些，对中国考生来说，都会出现或多或少的语法问题，看似问题不大，但阅卷老师看到会怀疑这个考生的语言功底。

解决：SAT语法是最基本的，也是大家最容易忽视的一部分，如果你觉得使用长难句有一些问题的话，宁可选择简单句也不要冒着出错的风险，同时在完成文章之后留出几分钟的时间来检查一下语法错误。

二、词汇使用的问题

在SAT写作中，词汇的使用是考察考生能力的一大考点，中国考生最大的问题就是重复词汇太多，也就是说词汇匮乏，表达不够准确。

解决：尽管能精确表达意思的词汇才是最好的词汇，但难词更容易打动阅卷老师。不要做的过火，否则看起来像是刻意打动阅卷者就不好了。
