If you are about to make a donation to a community, which one would you prefer：city library, animal rescue center or environmental organization?

参考思路：选择"City library";Reason 1：library collection is inadequate, Reason 2：more teenagers will have access to resources.

Sample：If possible, I would like to donate part of my savings to city library. To begin with, I think, in the city where I live and learn the library collection is so inadequate that when students or others are working on advanced researches, they are not able to find any resources available, so donating money for the library to buy more periodicals or references will be my first option when it comes to philanthropy. Additionally, some facilities in the library such as the computers should be updated. Nowadays teenagers are more likely to use computers to search materials, so after spending money on those equipment youngsters will easily gain access to resources, which will help them with their academic performance.

2.March 29th, 2016

If you are a teacher of a tutor group and you are going to take students to a study trip, where would you take them to：a science museum, a local farm, or a theatre performance?

Sample：If I were a teacher and had the chance to organize a study trip, I would definitely take my students to a theatre performance and here are my reasons. First, nowadays most students are interested in the acting and show stuff because of the influence of TV and movies, so they will feel excited and learn something about plays better this way. In contrast to that, museums and farms sound relatively more boring to them. Second, I'm going to choose one splendid performance instead of those cheap soap operas so that the kids can be inspired. I will also arrange them to perform by themselves when we are back. This, I believe, will help them enlighten their creativity.

在托福写作中，很多同学最害怕遇到的就是三选一类题目。

其实三选一，无非是要选择在这三个选项中你认为最好的，所以与包含better、prefer的题目解题思想本质上说是一样的，只是选项由两个变成了三个。

那么让我们回忆一下包含better的两选一类题目应该怎么写。better意味着你心中更好的一个，所以是最明显的价值判断。我们先在两者之中选择出自己更喜欢的方案，在中间段前两段用投射或拆分的方法找到它的两个优势。中间段第三段，需要我们体现出题目当中给我们的比较任务，所以一般以未选择的方案的优点作为主题句，再用让步的方法把这个优点再削弱掉。一篇作文的主体结构就是这样，再简单不过。

让我们带着这种思想来到三选一类题，同理，三选一也是价值判断，通过我们的利弊分析选择出三者之中最好的。于是选出来之后，中间段前两段依然是写我们选择出的方案的优点，依然用投射或拆分。在中间段第三段，我们要分别论述一下未选择的其他两个方案都各自有什么合理的地方，但都要分别用让步的方式再削弱掉。

School is a place where students prepare themselves for adult lives both intellectually and emotionally. Of course, sports, arts and volunteering are the good ways to achieve the goal. But these means all deserve financial support from the school authority. When the funding is limited and only one of them can be funded, I would definitely go for sports.

First of all, this policy can bring numerous benefits to students. Everybody knows working out is good for both body and mind. During schooldays students have been used to a sedentary lifestyle, which has been linked with an increased risk of obesity and depression. But what if they are now encouraged to attend extracurricular activities like hockey, soccer, gymnastics, swimming, karate and so on? Besides being more energetic and athletic, they can also experience the joy of cooperation and competition. Plus, sports activities provide a temporary escape, enabling children to take their mind off study for a while and then go back to schoolwork refreshed. According a recent survey, kids who exercise 30 minutes a day five times a week, enjoy better overall brain health, reduced stress, increased creativity and clearer thinking.

Which one do you think is the best way to get to know a city: joining in an organized tour, visiting the museum or walking along the streets?

Sample:

As far as I’m concerned, joining in an organized tour would be the best way to get to know a city. Most people are not so familiar with other places, and it would be unrealistic for them to do the research before travelling because they might be busy working or studying. If they just want to have some fun, there is no harm to visit the museum or walk along the streets. But if they reallyaim to know about a new city, they would need some professional knowledge which can be provided by the tour guides in the

organized tours. The second reason is that by joining in an organized tour, people don’t need to worry about terms like accommodation, flight tickets and other stuff because they are all set. In thisway, they can fully concentrate on knowing the city without any burdens.

2.Aug. 21st, 2016

Which period do you think is most challenging: childhood, teenage or adulthood?

Sample:

In my opinion, teenage period is the most challenging one and I’ve got some reasons for that. First, teenagers start to face some problems like what to learn as a major anddealing with a relationship, something that is totally new to them. Basically they have to learn those by themselves. What’s more, compared to adults who can control their ownlives and kids who just rely on their parents, youngsters face the dilemma that they need to live a life in between. They might have their own ideas towards certain issues but just have to compromise. Those are the reasons why I think teenagers face the most challenges of all.

我们这里先告诉大家平级的定义，即选项之间没有好坏之分，或前后决定关系。那么刚刚这道三选一的问题其实就是一个不平级的案例。学校举办一个活动，明显晚上夜游和电脑游戏大赛都有缺陷呀。晚上夜游会有安全隐患，所以很多学校春游，秋游或者群体性的外出活动是要放在白天的。另外，如果学校官方去举办电脑游戏大赛，打LOL，守望先锋，Dota这些，学生恐怕就疯掉啦，游戏会上瘾啊，学校官方都举办啦，这会打游戏有借口了。所以这两个选项都不是很主旋律，而举办音乐节就不一样了，学生可以减压，放松，调节一下。所以说，组织不平级的题目答题思路，只要说B好处，再说AC如何不好就可以了。

这道题属于你的个人选择类，大家记住，只要是你来选择，这里有一个万能的理由，就是我对XXX感兴趣。你既然选择了其中一个选项，不感兴趣你选啥呢，强迫自己么?所以“感兴趣”就是一个万能理由之一。比如，我们选择摄影课堂，理由就是我对摄影感兴趣，那么我们对扩展部分就是在证明我们如何对摄影感兴趣的。比如说，外出旅游我总是会带各种摄影装备，平时有钱会投资在摄影上，比如买镜头，我还喜欢把拍的照片上传到社交网络，和朋友们来分享，因此有免费摄影课我自然很有兴趣参加。

第二个理由概括为“XXX课堂很有用，能提升我的XXX能力”，扩展部分这里我们采用“拆分法”的技巧，即，对课堂的内容进行拆分。比如，一个摄影课堂可能有什么内容，做两到三个列举就可以了。比如说，可能会讲到如何设置相机参数，来拍摄不同的物体，包括静物景色，建筑，人像或者是动态的，比如奔跑的动物，汽车等等，也会学到图像处理技巧，比如用photoshop来做图片后期处理等等。因此，这些专业的摄影知识一定能提升我的能力。
