中国警察遇到歹徒时举枪会喊:“不许动，举起手来!”同样的话换成英语则显得更加言简意赅:"Freeze! Hands up!" Freeze“冻结”是不是很形象呢?
1.Freeze!不许动!
A:Who's there? Freeze!Or I'll shoot!
B:Please don't.!live here.
甲:谁，不许动,不然我开枪了，
乙:不要啊。我住在这里。
freeze一词多是警察逮捕嫌疑犯时使用。警方常用的警告语还有:
Stay where you are!不许动!
Get down!趴下!
Stay back!退后!
Hands up!举起手来!
2.Watch out!小心!
A:Watch out!
B: Oh, thank you!I almost fell into that pit.
A: You're welcome.
甲:小心！
乙:噢，谢谢，我差点就掉进坑里了。
甲:不客气。
Watch out!除表示“小心”，其后还可以加上要小心的具体内容，如:
Watch your steps.注意脚下。
Watch out for him.防着他点。
3.Dare you do it!你敢去试试!
A: I'm thinking about going to the Club.
B: Why? You want to lose your money again?
A: Of course not. I won't gamble. I just wan to see some old friends.
B: I know who they are. I dare you do it!
甲:我想去俱乐部。
乙:去干吗。还想输钱啊。
甲:当然不是了。我不会再赌了。我只是想去看看老朋友。
乙:我知道他们是谁。你敢去试试！
dare表示“敢，胆敢”，例如:
How dare you do that!你怎么能这么做!
Dare you say it again!有种你再说一次!
4.Don't touch the line.别碰那根线。
A:Stop that! Don't touch the line.
B:Is there electricity?
A:Yes. It's wire.
甲:住手，别碰那根线，
乙:有电吗。
甲:是的。这是电线。
5.You'II regret it.你会后悔的。
A: Are you sure you really want to do this?
B: Yes, I'm sure. I won't miss the chance.
A: A chance? How? You'll regret it.
甲:你确定你要这么做吗，
乙:是的，我确定。我不会错过机会的。
甲:机会，哪里来的机会，你会后悔的。
