gordon: how are you this morning?

john: i am on top of the world. (i feel great)

gordon: that's good. i need your help.

john: really? what can i do for you?

gordon: can you help me improve my english?

john: sure, anything for you.

gordon: thanks a bunch. you are awesome to teach me so much.

john: my pleasure. helping other puts me on top of the world.

戈登：今天早晨过得好吗?

约翰：好极了。

戈登：那太好了。我需要你的帮助。

约翰：是吗?我能为您做点儿什么?

戈登：你能帮我提高英语水平吗?

约翰：没问题，很愿意效劳。

戈登：多谢。你真棒，教给我那么多东西。

约翰：别客气。帮助别人让我感觉好极了。

gordon: what's going on?

john: nothing much, just the usual. why do you ask?

gordon: you seem ill. do you have a cold?

john: how did you know?

gordon: you have a fever. we should go to see a doctor.

john: but my english is poor. the doctor won't understand me.

gordon: i will teach you some english on the drive to the hospital.

john: great. i hope the english-speaking doctor can help me.

戈登：最近怎么样?

约翰：没什么新鲜的，老样子。为什么这么问?

戈登：你看起来像是生病了，你感冒了吗?

约翰：你怎么知道的?

戈登：你发烧了，我们应该去看医生。

约翰：可我的英语不好，医生听不懂。

戈登：去医院的路上我会教你一些英语。

gordon: hello, happy halloween!

john: happy halloween to you too! can you tell me more about this strange holiday?

gordon: sure, it would be my pleasure to tell you about halloween.

john: halloween is coming up, right?

gordon: right, halloween is on october 31st. (thirty-first)

john: please tell me more!

john: no problem. i will loan you some cash.
