Jane: Smartoys is the first organization in River side City to pledge donation to flood relief in Woodland. Has Smartoys' factory there been affected by the flood?
Nancy:The impact of the flood in Woodland is immense. Fortunately none of Smartoys' employees got hurt, thanks to our regular disaster rehearsals. Some buildings andfacilities in the factory were damaged by the flood, but as we witness the tragedy continue to unfold, we feel it is a priority to assist those in need, particularly the children and women in those disaster areas. We will fulfill our commitment to denote 60,000 to Environment and Children Foundation by the end of this week. The fund will be put toward immediate relief efforts and to support the construction of temporary schools and infrastructure facilities.
Jane: Is Smartoys going to take further actions in disaster relief?
Nancy: We have activated our contingency plan. Through an integrated network wewill collect donations from our intemational employees in different factories.
