The singer in that room was given a warm welcome by his fans.（singer后面有in that room的限制）

（2）定冠词也可以用在单数可数名词前表示类属，如前面举过的例子。
The tiger is a wild animal.
（3）形容词的高级前要用定冠词，如：
No matter how busy our parents are，they should make the best use of their time to stay with their children.
Television is the most effective tool to inform children of the latest news and scientific development over the world.
