The person who apologized to me is my dad. It was a long time ago when I was inkindergarten. Usually I wouldn’t remember things that happened that far back, but it was reallyan unforgettable experience.
That day, my dad forgot to pick me up after school, usually that was my mom’s job, butshe was out of town that day. I had no money on me, and I didn’t have a phone back then. Iwaited for him in front of the school gate for about 3 hours, and he still didn’t show up after itgot dark. I was starving and scared. It felt like I was abandoned, you know.
