典型错句，考生试图把四个简单句拼凑为一句，结果导致整句不通，不知所云。简而言之，复杂句并不一定看起来“很长复杂”，而是两个或两个以上简单句拼凑在一起并使之紧凑连贯。

把这个例句拆分成四个简单句：

1.Global warming is a common topic these days.

2.Global warming causes environmental problems.
