Anything related to finance is popular in china, like marketing and accounting.

Why did you choose that university?

I want a university that was far enough away from my family then I can be independent. Also, the grounds and buildings are so beautiful. Everyone who went there seemed a little smug to me and I like the atmosphere in my university.

Do you have any recreational or entertainment activities at your school/university?

On each Friday night I go to swimming club. Also, I love school nights. When it comes we dress up in our old school uniform and we get giggles through the whole night.

Do you think it's important to choose a subject you like?

Yes. I believe interest is the best teacher. When you have some interest in a subject you can teach by yourself. It is the biggest motivation of learning.

时态上也要注意，因为是a special trip you would like to go on in the future,所以注意一般将来时的正确用法。

另外还可能用到虚拟语气，要注意if条件句后动词要变成过去式的形式，主句是would/could的形式，如if I got a chance to visit Spain, I would watch a live Flamenco dance show.

There are many places in the world that I have been dreaming to travel to. The one I’m really eager to visit is definitely Spain. I knew this country from my cousin who is currently studying in Madrid, Spain. With great beaches, fun nightlife, many cultural regions and historic sites, Spain makes a great destination for a family trip since it can meet the demands of any kind of vacationers.

In terms of what I would do there, as a foodie, the first thing I would do after getting there is certainly trying the delightful Spanish cuisine. My cousin has recommended me a couple of authentic Spanish dishes, such as paella, gazpacho. My mouth is actually starting to water just thinking of it. Another must-do thing in Spain is sightseeing around the country. You know, this country boasts rich culture and enchanting natural beauty. There are a variety of museums, exotic architecture and alluring beaches which are definitely worth a visit.

The reason why I regard the trip to Spain a special one is that it could provide me with a chance to know more about Flamenco dance which you know is a traditional Spanish dance. I first got to know this type of dance on TV. This type of dance was so unique that it caught my eyes immediately. It involves fierce foot stomping, hand clapping and intricate hand, arm and body movements. It is highly expressive, which separates Flamenco from any other type of dance in the world. If I got a chance to visit Spain, I could watch a live Flamenco dance show and discover something more about this passionate dance. I believe it must be a thrilling experience.

In addition to this, if I paid a visit to Spain, I could meet my cousin. You know, we haven’t seen each other for quite a while, basically since she went to Spain two years ago. So I really miss her a lot. Also, there are many interesting things in my life that I’m eager to share with her. I can’t wait to see her!

在这几个问题中，我们都找到了change这个字眼，但有时它是动词，有时它是名词。区别在于当change当动词讲的时候我们也要相应的关注人们本身发生的动作，强调的应该是如何去做，多用do。而当名词讲的时候，我们应该多关注前后的变化，多举例子。

第一个问题问的是关于你的性格你有什么想要改变的：What would you like to change about your personality?

误区：

这个问题问的是你现在有什么想提高和改变，而并不是你过去有过一个缺点，经过你的不断努力终于改掉了!如若这样，你的时态变化就和题目有比较大的出入了。题目中是What would you like to do，你希望怎么去做，要求说的是你坐在考官面前就有的问题，而想去进行变化的。

思路：

我们通过读题知道这是要求你说一些关于性格方面的增进。作为学生来讲，无非是学习不够刻苦，有点小懒lazybones; 或者做事不够专心，自由散漫，影响上课 loose;再或者不够自信lack of self-confidence; 精神紧张，get nervous easily, 给自己过大压力feel stressful等等。我们把问题提出来，并加上一个小案例作证一下，就可以有力的说明我们确实需要变得更好了，最后如果能把改变之后的相反意义的形容词再用到，答案就变得更加完整了。

Sometimes, I kind of stress myself too much. I usually worry a lot about things. When dealing with exams, I get really tense before entering the classroom. Now I’m sitting the IELTS test in front of you, I have sweaty hands and butterflies in the stomach. I always want to do things perfectly so I guess I’m used to pushing myself. So I suppose I must make the change step by step to be more confident and relaxed.

我们一看到daily routine，有可能同学们就联想到的就是每一天早起8点干什么，9点干什么等等，其实在这里我们说的是schedule，日程安排表;而routine的侧重点是相对固定周期要做的事情，并不一定是每一天都要干的。比如说我每周洗一次衣服do the laundry，这就算是我的一个routine。

思路：

那么就是说，有哪些事情是你原来一直在做，但是你觉得不是很好，比方说是unhealthy，bad habit等等;或者是你认为可以让自己变得更好make it better, 或者提升自己的生活质量improve the quality of life等。这时同时也要注意你的时态，提到想要改变的事物时应该用与将来有关的时态，说明原因时可以是现在完成时表示持续，也可以是一般现在时表示你目前现有的状态和习惯。

As a senior high school student, there isn’t much space I can do to totally change my schedule. However, I suppose I should try to sleep and get up earlier. I study more than 8 hours on a daily basis, and watch movies from the Internet late at night sometimes. It would affect my concentration if I stay up. 按照一个‘现在时+过去时+优缺点对比+别人看法与自己看法对比+将来时态’的结构：

先用一般现在是或者现在完成时说一下平时喜不喜欢上网，或者多久上一次网;

然后引入这个网站。客观并简短地介绍一下这个网站的主要用途;

用过去时态说一下第一次接触这个网站是什么时候。喜欢它的地方，还可以做一个对比，说说有什么缺陷;

再进行对比，说说别人也喜欢这个网站吗，或是别人在这个网站上都做什么。

最后再来一个进行时作为总结，说一下以后要不要继续频繁使用这个网站了，或者以后会不会转向其他的网站。

误区：

不需要进行大篇幅的介绍去描述这个网站或是创始人，还要尝试使用不同的时态去完成这个两分钟。

Well, to be honest, I’ve got to say this is quite a tricky topic for me, cause I do get online quite a lot and there are loads of webpages that I like to visit on a day-to-day basis; but if I’ve got to tell you about one of them, perhaps I could bring up this one Yahoo.com.

I reckon you must have heard of Yahoo. If not, I use it just as a search engine, pretty much like Google. Of course they do many other things, like finance and that. When I first started to chat to internet friends back in high school, I met an American guy who recommended me to download Yahoo messenger. That’s the first time I heard about this Yahoo thing. To be honest, I’d never really liked yahoo messenger so I stopped using it pretty soon. But then I discovered Yahoo.com was actually a pretty handy website which could help me solve all my doubts and questions.

What’s more, I could sign up for an email address and that. In fact, I didn’t use to use Yahoo as much as I got on Google, but since Google got blocked over here in China, I’ve sort of moved back onto Yahoo. These days, I mainly just use it to check some English idioms for my own interest. Apart from that, I really enjoy browsing for all kinds of images and that on it. Even some of my friends are starting to use Yahoo too, although most people around me still prefer Baidu which is possibly one of the most popular search engines in my country.

Anyway, I have to say deep down I still kind of like Google better, although I cannot really think of anything bad about Yahoo yet. I mean at the moment, I’m quite happy with what I can get over the internet with the help of Yahoo. Hopefully Google will be allowed soon so I can have more choices. That’s all I can tell you about right now.
