Describe a short vacation that you were impressed

Speaking of a short vacation I had,I'd like to describe my trip to Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand. I went there in early May, a week before Mother's Day, and I went there with my mom and my auntie, because I wanted to celebrate the Mother's Day with them inThailand.

As for what we did when we were in Bangkok, we had a great time shopping around and touring around when we are there, I have to say shopping was a must for our everyday schedule, because Bangkok is a paradise of shopping and all the things are cheaper than in Hong Kong. For example, we bought a lot of handicrafts made of wood at a pretty reasonable price, while these stuff are super pricey in Hong Kong.

Besides,we bought countless high quality aroma oil and snacks made from local fruits in Bangkok, not just for the reasonable price but also for the great qualities of goods.

Another thing I want to mention about our trip to Bangkok is sight-seeing. I have to say, Bangkok is an amazing place for tourists, since Bangkok can meet all your expectations. During our trip,we went to several tourists spots for sight-seeing, such as the floating market, where you can experience the way of 1ife of local Thai people, and the WatPoh, you know, the sleeping Buddha temple, where you can learn how loyal Thai people are to Buddha. Apart from sight-seeing, we also tried tons of stall food in Thailand, which was also a wonderful attempt. For example, we stopped by a fruit store called MaeVaree,and I think they offered the best mango sticky rice in Thailand after I tried it, the rice were chewy and mangoes were sweet and creamy, which was to my appetite.

And now let me explain how I felt after this trip.I think it was of great joy to travel with my mom and auntie after a long time we didn't see each other, and as they told me, they had a great time there, too.

Another thing that was impressive to me is the shopping I had in Thailand, I bought nearly everything that I want there, especially the two colognes1got from Jo Malone, one of the most renowned cologne grand. So, the trip to Bangkok was the most impressive vacation1had.

Describe a song or melody that you remember from your childhood.

My mother used to sing me lullabies. One of the songs she sang was "Scarlet Ribbons". I remember being about 4 or 5 and really identifying with the little girl who wanted the ribbons and fascinated with the "magical answer" to the mother's prayer.

It's a folk tune that Harry Belafonte sang ...I suppose you could also identify it as religious or Christmas music, although Christmas isn't mentioned. I also have a newer version of Michael Crawford singing it, but no version comes anywhere close to how my mom sang it for me.

Now that I'm a mom myself, I identify with the mother in the song, wanting so badly to give her child a simple thing she wants, and I still believe prayers are answered, although many times God answers them through the actions of other people who are instruments in his hands.

I don’t think I’m alone when I say buying an apartment is at the top of my list. I've had my heart set on one by the sea, in a city like Qingdao, preferably with nice views and an outside space like a balcony or veranda. At the moment I’m single, so it might start off as a bit of a bachelor pad, but it’ll need to be big enough to raise a family eventually, so I reckon ninety-five square meters or so should do the trick.

I think I’ve wanted to buy my own place ever since I moved out of home to go to university and got a taste of the independent life. It’s also part of tradition that a man should have a house before he gets married, along with a car and a good job to provide for his wife. I want to buy a flat and settle down in a city that I can see myself spending the rest of my life in and I think Qingdao really fits the bill.

I don’t like relying on my parents for money and I’m dead set on saving up the necessary funds myself. Sadly, apartments by the sea cost an arm and a leg, so if I want to realize my dream I’ll be saving up for ages, but with hard work and determination. I’m sure I can reach my goal!

A friend you admire

I want to talk about one of my playmates in my childhood. Her name is Su. She’s very beautiful. She had long black hair and big eyes. She looked like a Barbie doll.

However her personality was very different from her appearance. I like her because of her strong personality and her kindness to others. She never cried even when she hurt her knees badly and would always help and comfort others just like a big sister.

I always knew she’s a strong girl, but later I realized that she’s stronger than I thought. When we were in primary school, one day, my teacher asked her out and told her that her father died in a car accident. She came back to our classroom to get her school bag without crying. When I went to her home to ensure she was ok, I saw her comforting her mother. She was like an adult, still without crying.

Later she went to Canada and we haven’t seen each other for about five years. I can still her beautiful appearance and her strong personality. When I feel discouraged, I will always remember her and I can become strong because of her influence.
