Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Storyis one of my most favorite movie, telling the motivational story of a Harvard girl Liz Murray. Liz has a tragic childhood. Her parents took drugs and she began to beg at her eight. When she was fifteen years old, her mother died of AIDS and her father entered the shelter. However, she was not degenerate but, when she was seventeen, she finished four years of high school courses in two years and got the 1996 The New York Times first-class scholarship, admitted to Harvard. This film is a wake-up call, expressing a poor suffering girl who changes her life with perseverance, faith and strong willpower, showing the theme that once you work hard, you can achieve. I am deeply moved by this film and the story of Liz. I think I can feel her weakness when she was in trouble and hardness, but all she does proves that she would never be struck down by the reality. She always owns the faith that she can change her life by herself. I think it’s a faith that we should have, too.

L.B.Jefferies,a photographer working at a magazine,broke his left leg six week ago,so he has to stay at his two-room apartment days and days.The reason of this accident is that he stood in the middle of the racing track for taking wonderful photos.Obviously,he is responsible and he loves his job.He has nothing to do but look out the window and watch the daily life of his neighbors in these days.
Lisa,a pretty girl who loves Jefferies very much,wants to marry him,but Jefferies doesn't want to.He thinks Lisa is perfect but not what he wants.She is wealthy,smart,beautiful,fashionable and patrician,while he is only a poor,ordinary man.Besides,he only wants to find someone who could go anywhere and do anything with him,but Lisa wants him leave the magazine and stay there with her.Their wishes are opposite,and they both don't intend to compromise,so it seems very far for them to get married.
As far as I can see,Lisa really loves Jefferies or she won't takes so much time to persuade him,and tries to add some fun in his boring life in those days.She is so successful and charming and there must be many gentlemen pursuing her,but she only loves that poor photographer.In fact,Jefferies also likes her,but he just wants her more ordinary.When I am watching the movie,I really hope Jefferies takes Stella’s advice and then marries with Lisa.Fortunately,it was a happy ending.

Review of the Hound of Baskervilles
Sherlock Holmes is one of the best known detectives.Though he lives in the world which Conan Doyle creates,he is brave and intelligent enough to charm lots of people.
This time Sherlock is faced with a challenging case.There is a legend that a hound used to kill people in Baskerville families and it is at large in the "gloomy marsh" now.Sherlock is not going to Baskerville to deal with the case by himself. Instead, he send Doctor Waston there to search as much information as he can.In fact ,Sherlo-ck himself is also in Baskerville, hidden in the swamp in order not to be suspected. That is just a surprise which the writer gives us. The cry from the maid in the dark and some fragments of a letter add more terror to the story.So you can see that Kolan Doyle is good at filling his novel with excitements and dismissing any detail.
The Hound of Baskervilles is my favorite story of the Sherlock Hol-mes series, not just because of the exciting storyline but also beca-use of the courage Mr.Holmes shows.Why Holmes can always discover thetruth?Where is his courage from? I suppose that Mr.Holmes has a strong brief in justice. "Justice triumphs in the end", you know. Thejustice from your heart can always defeat the evil and lead you to a bright life.

The View of Life is Beautiful
As a man, he may be fragile, however, as a father, he will be brave beyond our imagination. This is what I learned from the movie, Life is Beautiful.
This story was adapted from Benigni's father's own experience. In the first half, we can laugh the loudest and delight at the comedy talent of Benigni. It tells us how a Jewish man has a wonderful romance with the help of his humour. Then the optimistic man, Guido, chased Dora strenuously and they had a cute little boy, Joshua. The film then delves into a very touchy area in which Guido and his family are transported to a concentration camp. Guido tries to effectively convince his son by using that same quality to protect his son that their entire imprisonment is part of a huge game in which participants must collect points to win a tank. Meanwhile, he seized every opportunity to let Dora know they were safe, like using the amplifier to talk to her. Finally, Guido was killed by Nazi soldiers while Dora and Joshua were rescued by American troops.
The most impressive part for me is when Benigni knows that Nazi is on the road to ruin. In the chaos, he tells his son to stay in a box until everybody has left and tries to save his wife. Unfortunately, he is caught by a Nazi soldier. When he passes by the box, he still makes funny gestures to indicate Joshua to stay in the box and continue the game.
I have been wondering about the movie's name, Life is beautiful. I think this story is a tragicomedy. Guido as well as a great number of people died in the concentration camp, which makes audience feel really pathetic; his wife and son survived, which could be viewed as a miracle. Under father and mother's careful protection, Joshua was so lucky. Although the historical setting is dark, we do not feel that depressed about it. It is an unforgettable fable that proves love, family and imagination conquer all.
