一、主语:是句子陈述的对象，说明是谁或什么，表示句子说的是“什么人”或“什么事”。
主语通常位于谓语动词之前，表明一个动作是谁发出(主动语态)或承受的(被动语态)。常作主语的有名词、代词、主语从句、v-ing(动名词)和to do(动词不定式)五种。
名词作主语
Some people claim that wild animals have no place in the 21st century.
一些人认为在21世纪野生动物没有生存空间。
代词作主语
We are now living in an information-explosion era.
我们正生活在一个信息爆炸的时代。
主语从句做主语
Whether sports stars should earn a high salary is still discussed heatedly.
体育明星是否应该赚取高收入引起了人们热烈的争论。
It is crystal clear that education is indispensable to us in this updating society.
显而易见，在不断发展的社会中，教育对于我们是至关重要的。
v-ing(动名词)作主语
Raising pets has become a growingly popular personal hobby.
养宠物已经成为一个越来越受欢迎的个人爱好。
There is no accounting for tastes.
人各有所好。
There is no hiding of evil but not to do it.
There is no hiding of evil but not to do it.
若要人不知，除非己莫为。
(拿分句型:there is no+动名词为常见结构，相当于it is impossible to do sth.)

这样做是削足适履。(主语和表语均用不定式，语气强烈，发人深省。）
